Chinese animation is really coming of age as can be seen in this film from Chen Xifeng. It's entitled "Pig Sale" and features the adventures of a couple of  boys as they take their pig to market. Not to be excluded from the narrative is the pig of course. It's traditionally animated by hand and shows just how well crafted and sophisticated animation from China has become. It won the Golden Entries Grand Award which is the grand prize for open entries at the 11th Tokyo Anime Awards last year in 2012. Here's the press release and here's the video...
