This being July 4 we celebrate Independence Day in the USA when our country was born in 1776. This year is an election year and with all that involves especially in our current political climate it would be nice to see how the American flag was honored in 1939 in a Merry Melodies cartoon from Warner Bros featuring a very young Porky Pig and his recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

The first trailer for the feature film "Trolls" from DreamWorks is now online. It will be in general release on November 4 2016.
This student film will really get you thinking. It's called "Falling Tide" and it's the creation of Ning Cheng from Cal Arts and was completed this year.
Crash Bandicoot fans are excited about the revival of the franchise as the iconic video game character will be making his first appearance in several years. The venue is the upcoming "Skylanders Imaginators" in October 2016. More good news as the first three Crash games will be remastered for PlayStation 4

Many times as I watch animated shorts and videos in search of content to share through AN I find myself gaining helpful knowledge and learning from the viewing experience. Case in point is this work by Daniela Sherer entitled "What to Do About Insomnia". Daniela is based in Tel Aviv and London. The video is commisioned by the School of Life.
