After being passed up by traditional broadcast TV for $750,000 in funding for a 20 minute animated special a group of voice actors who are called Critical Role decided to crowdfund their project on Kickstarter. The campaign was launched yesterday March 4 2019. The result? They reached their goal in just 40 minutes!!

On this the second day of their 45 day campaign they're about to go over $4.5 million through more than 33,500 backers and are still going strong with pledges coming in continuously.
