Look at how much has changed in 22 years! The internet was primarily dial up back then. Broadband was another 5 years down the road. Message boards were the primary use for social media. Blogs had not come about yet.

Most animation production was still hand drawn.

The idea of an Independent Economy in the creative community was brand new. Years before crowdfunding and other web based monetizing systems. Years before streaming video.

Today we're in a worldwide creative explosion where physical location is no longer a factor.
